CREATIVE GUIDELINES
Creative Policies and Guidelines
We strive to maintain the highest quality of exchange partners and creative ads presented within. All Customers are required to acknowledge and accept the Creative Policies and Guidelines.
SSL Compliant Ads
To ensure the broadest access and optimal performance amongst our exchange partners, all Customer creative ad tags and trackers uploaded into the platform as well as any third-party beacons used to traffic into your creatives via your ad server are secure sockets layer (SSL) compliant.
General Content Guidelines
All Customer creative ads must comply with the General Content Guidelines as follows
- For all White ads, a distinct border must be used to clearly identify where the page ends and your advertisement begins.
- All ads promoting specific Sponsors or Organizations must clearly identify said entities.
- All ad landing page must match the offer being made in the advertisement.
- All offers presented within any given ad must clearly state the nature of the offer so that the end reader is able to make an informed decision.
- Customer has responsibility to ensure all product claims, warranties, guarantees or other assurances presented within any given ad complies with all applicable State and Federal laws.
- All destination landing URLs must allow for search engines to be able to navigate their page.
- Full terms and conditions of any offer presented in any ad must be clearly disclosed and easily accessible on the landing page.
- Ads may not incorporate any “bait and switch” tactic designed to lure end-users into false promotions and/or offers.
- Ads may not display graphics or functionalities which simulates interactivity when no such interactivity exists nor may they resemble error messages or Windows/Mac/Unix dialogue boxes.
Subjective Content
For Customer creative ads which contain subjective content such as those related to astrology, horoscopes, psychic services or the like, the following additional content guidelines also apply:
- Ads must clearly state the service is for entertainment purposes only.
- No scientific groundings to such services and/or the promise of wealth or good fortune may be included within an ad.
Promotional Content
For Customer creative ads incorporating promotions such as contests, sweepstakes, or special offers the following additional content guidelines also apply:
- Creative ads that imply they are endorse and/or approved by any government entity must be supported by appropriate documentation prior to the campaign being started.
- Creative ads must offer fair and equal opportunity for all entrants to win.
- Creative ads based on chance must clearly disclose no purchase is necessary to enter.
- Creative ads may not incorporate terms that claim “everyone wins”, or imply that the end-user was specially selected to receive said prize.
- Creative ads may not request or imply a payment is due from the winner in order to receive a prize unless is required by applicable law.
- Creative ads may not imply that the mere act of clicking a button is sufficient to win a prize.
Miscellaneous
- Creative ads pertaining to food products must comply with all applicable State and Federal laws & regulations pertaining to the definitions and restrictions on food-related descriptive words
- Creative ads incorporating the word “Free” in any context must comply with all State and Federal guidelines.
- Creative ads related to weight loss may not make unrealistic claims nor imply the product alone is effective for said weight loss. Said ads must include a disclaimer such as “results not typical” or “individual results may vary”.
Unacceptable Content
Touchsights will not accept any creative ads content for the following products:
- Adult products including but not limited to films, magazines, websites, and toys
- Alcohol
- Drugs
- Non-State Lotteries
- Online gambling and/or casino portals
- Tobacco
- Firearms, ammunition, and fireworks
- Educational degrees for sale
- Or as may be determined in the sole discretion of the Company.
Customer ads found to be outside the above guidelines must be modified before campaign launch.
In-banner Video and Video Stuffing Policy
We do not permit creative ads whose format is purposely misleading including, but not limited to, in-banner video and video stuffing.
In-banner video is the use of display banner creative to serve a video player without ending the animation after 15 seconds with a call to action or user interaction through expansion, excluding full screen expansion.
Video Stuffing is considered the use of a display banner creative or VAST video creative to buy display banner inventory or video inventory that serves pre-roll content that syndicates video inventory ad requests to buyers on ad networks and video SSPs. Using display banner creative or VAST video creative to buy display banner inventory or video inventory and serve/rotate multiple video ad creatives in succession.
